Timbrel Chyatee – Using her Influence For Impact in Lancaster and Across The Globe

Hi Friend! The latest chapter of the Story-Breathing project has us breathing in the story of Timbrel Chyatee. Tibrel is a fashion designer, stylist, boutique owner and she’s found a way to use her passion and her talent to make a real difference for others. I love breathing in Timbrel’s story- it’s filled with hope and perseverance and overcoming! I always leave time with her feeling motivated and inspired to keep following my heart towards what it is that I’m meant to do in this world. I know her story can do the same for you. Read more from Timbrel herself in this interview, and then watch the video edition of the Story Breathing Project to see Timbrel’s story come to life. Breathe it in, let it stir, inspire, and change you..and let’s see how this story influences what YOU are breathing out into the world next!

How would you complete this sentence: My name is_______ and the legacy I want to leave in the world is_____.

My name is Timbrel and the legacy I want to leave in the world is leading and teaching people with love and kindness and creating beautiful fashion. I’m working towards that right now by building a brand that creates fashion, believes in love and changes peoples lives. The love of people, art, planet and fashion.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I wake up around 7am, contact my staff and have  an hour conversation with them about the pieces being made and what all is going on. I usually meditate, pray and then head to the boutique around 10:30. I leave the bazaar around 6 and head to other work meetings I may have. I contact my staff again at around 10:30-11pm and talk to them till about 1:30-2 and then go to bed. In between all that I try and have a social life and make time for friends and family.

How did you decide to get into this line of work?

I have been passionate about fashion and style from a very young age. I sewed my first pillow when I was 5 years old, but I also always had a desire to have a profession that makes a positive difference in the world. So being able to combine my two passions was a dream come true. I mean, I really am living and breathing the life I have always wanted.

What sets you apart from other designers and boutiques?

Everything in the boutique is designed by me. I work with all the artisans very closely. I design, they create and it’s the perfect friendship.

What question do you get the most often?

Why I chose the name Lush Bazaar and why did I enter this line of work.

What do you wish more people knew about what you do?

I wish they knew how much time, energy and work goes into each product that is made at Lush Bazaar. It starts with the vision board, then drawings, lots of mistakes until it’s perfect and the actual product is created. My whole heart and all my energy goes into each piece made at the bazaar.

What are your top tips for entrepreneurs who want to make a social impact through their work?

DO IT! It will not always be easy to start, but it will be worth it- for you and for our world.

Tell us more about Cultured Wedding Workshops?

I created the Cultured Wedding workshop to help connect our world and better educate individuals about culture, traditions and love. Hosting these workshops helps educate individuals and build a connection of love, respect and community. I love creating these workshops and seeing how much people walk away with, beautiful images, a new mindset on culture and new friends. These workshops are held quarterly. (You can see live footage of the Mexican Cultured Wedding Workshop in the Story-Breathing video below.)

What is your ultimate hope for how you can use your #influence4impact ?

I hope that Lush Bazaars message of love, kindness and sustainability will bring people together and help the world in a positive way. I hope I can see Lush Bazaar in every state and country.

What are you most excited to tackle in 2020?

I am excited to see Lush Bazaar grow globally. I also want to try and learn how to bake cookies. No matter how many times i have tried, I always end up burning cookies.

What is the most surprising or unexpected gift of the work you do?

When I see strangers wearing Lush Bazaar. It’s a pretty awesome feeling. I saw someone wear a love shirt at an airport once, and they had no idea who I was and when I introduced myself, we instantly became friends.

Do you find Social Media draining or inspiring?

I have a love- hate relationship with social media. I believe it is connecting the world in such a great way, but I also believe that it’s taking the REALITY of the REAL world away. I actually have a timer on my phone each day for how long I can be on social media. Once the timer goes off, i log off and wait till the next day to get back on. It actually feels good to just disconnect and focus on my world and what is going on in my life.
