What on earth is a wombo combo? For us, it’s that delicious combination of two things or places, activities or adventures that go together so perfectly that they make the day doubly good! We’re hoping these #wombocombo ‘s will help take some of the guesswork out of answering the weekly “what should we do this weekend’ ‘ question and help ensure your weekend adventuring, wandering, tasting and exploring gets off to a stellar start!
Spring House Brewery
Have you been to the NEW Spring House Brewery? Some wombo combos are all under one roof and Springhouse Brewery, on Hazel Street in Lancaster, PA fits that bill.
New Brewer Head Chef Beer Menu
New brewer, new head chef, new beers, new menu (& Rosa Rosa’s wood fired pizzas) with a consistently cool space and community mindset! If you haven’t been to post-lockdown Spring House, then you need to get there and thank us later! We had an awesome afternoon tasting and talking our way through the brewery and we are ready to set up camp and be official taste testers at the pleasure of Kenny, Eddie and the rest of the brilliant minds bringing flavor and fun to the Spring House experience!
The Spring House Brewing Co. headquarters is located in the southwest corner of historic Lancaster, Pennsylvania — this city has it’s early German settlers to thank for putting Lancaster on the beer-brewing map since the late 1800s. The antique warehouse on Hazel St. features a full brewery and flagship taproom, Dalton’s Doggie Deck with outdoor seating for pups and their owners, Hell’s Attic Arcade, live entertainment and a delicious menu featuring Fire & Wood by Rosa Rosa!
Brewery Tours:
Spring House Brewery is offering free guided brewery tours where curious tour takers can learn about and see first hand how their favorite Spring House beers come to life, from fermentation to canning & barreling.
Tours take place on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and advanced reservations are required.
Food Menu:
Food menu featuring Fire & Wood by Rosa Rosa: You had me at brick-oven-pizza. Spring House Brewery offers a diverse menu with elevated pub fare that’s innovative, fresh and classic at the same time. A good ol’ trusty burger (actually called that) holds space on the menu alongside oysters on the half shell, steam buns and apple braised ribs.
🍽 Our foodie favorites: Pizza Pistacchio e Mortadella (it sounds weird- but trust us, it’s freakin’ delicious), Korean chicken steam buns (so much flavorful perfection), and the classic Handlebar chicken (the perfect compliment to the beer in your dominant hand)

Hell’s Attic Arcade
This 2nd floor gaming hub features a plethora of old school arcade games, foosball, bubble hockey, a pool table, cornhole, and a stage for live music and events. With local art featured on the walls, a second bar, a great view of the brewery and light spilling in from restored barn windows, the space is inviting, fun and decidedly cool. This would be a great place to gather with your people on a Saturday afternoon or rent the adjacent “Witch Doctor Room” to host an event.
Dalton’s Doggie Deck
If you’re like us, you love it when your pup is invited to share in the fun! When the temps are mild, this dog-friendly deck is open for furry friends and their owners. Fresh water and treats are stocked for canine friends and their 21+ humans can enjoy a beer or grab a bite to eat from the walk-up window.
Community
One more thing we love about Spring House is their community involvement. They support various efforts in the city towards social justice and equity and they are incredibly supportive of the local arts community. Each month they release another beer in the Limited Artist Collaboration Series – unique, small-batch brews that are inspired by and featuring original works from local artists and putting local talent on the map!
We’re partial to the Hazel Street location but you can also experience Spring House Brews in the downtown Lancaster Taproom, located just off the square on West King Street.
